taking it to the progressive direct so they can do an estimate themselves. I am going to try and get an independent estimate tomorrow. The rear end is making metal on metal noises when I am at full crank turning in the lot. If they do decide to get it fixed anyone know if I can get them to...
yeah i did go to the doc yesterday and told the guy I already had an appointment and he said that a health adjuster would also be calling then. they need to hurry up the jeep is making terrible noises and I need wheels.
Not sure what the insurance is going to do yet. Her adjuster called me and gave me the run around of course. Said he would call back and record my statment but hasnt. He said that he would be calling the lady in front of me to see if she felt two impacts or one and I was like excuse...

Well I have tried several things and just cant find the problem. 98 XJ classic D35 HP90 AUTO. Sound is coming from rear and sounds like chalk on chalk board squeeling when I go around corners and really bad when I parallel park in reverse. I have take the driveshaft out. Replaced both rear...
Well regreased it reinstalled the shaft and the problem is still there and just as bad. No Idea where it is coming from. Can the yoke to the D35 get screwed up it has a small amount of play in it with the wheels on the ground but the slop isnt in the joints.......Maybe the jerk used car dealer...
Weell I didnt get run over and I did manage to get the shaft out. It didnt have any grease at all on the slip yoke and I had to bang on it with a hammer. About three medium wacks with a 3lb hammer and it loosened up. I did both joints and got it back in. Greased the slip yoke a little but...
Hey all! I was replacing my u-joints for the rear drive shaft last night and have a few questions. First off it was for my 98 XJ and it looks like the original u-joints at 112k. It took a good bit of whacking them with the LMT/BFH (lift maintenance tool) to get them out. Once I got them out...
tap it? How and with what? There is no play in the shaft at all it seems. Gosh I am about to be without wheels if I cant get this out on the 3rd try....!!!1
How hard can i git it with a hammer?? I dont want to mess up the tcase for sure. I havent tried takin the rings off of the rubber boot, should I do that?? I did try to use a screwdriver to pry the rear ujoint away from the yoke with no luck??
I tried to do my ujoints on the rear shaft last weekend but I couldnt get it out of the tcase. I jacked it up (98 xj auto and 4x4) marked my position to the tcase and rear end then took off the ujoint straps. Then it wouldnt budge. Do I need to remove the endcaps at the rear end to get it...
seems fully compressed, my rig is sagged in the rear about 1-2 inches also I didnt remove any of the caps on the rear u-joint, is that necessary too? will try throwing the tcase in neutral next go at it.
