purely hypothetical, but could the injector be malfunctioning (i.e. flowing too much fuel) when plugged in? Then it would be contributing to rough idle only when plugged in. An injector appears to be fairly inexpensive if you wish to rule it out...

the pick up coil can show identical symptoms, and carries less expense than the crankshaft position sensor. It is in the distributor under the rotor. This functions in the same way as the CPS but detects rotation of the camshaft via rotation of the distributor. Either this or the crank sensor...

It is currently on 33 12.5 bfg all terrain tires, but could probably fit 35's, I use it as a back up daily driver and it does well on the highway. One definitely, and possibly a second tire (shows alignment wear but has some tread left) need replacement due to alignment wear from before this...

these stroker parts would be a great addition to this 97 cherokee I have seen for sale with rebuilt transmission and t-case... :dunno: just sayin

as of today has new o2 sensors, and new belt i had a little free time to put a few more parts in... forgot to mention, in the back will be... new water pump new radiator hoses, upper and lower old axle shafts, front and rear for spares old belt for spare 1 wheel bearing hub assembly, other one...
