4.0L XJ Auxiliary cooling fan activating at high temperature - overheating?

Your temps seems normal to me. Maybe a bit high if youre not stopped for excessively long times but if the e fan comes on at 221 (normal) and kicks the temp back to 210-215 you are within range. If it stays cool while driving and on the freeway you are ok. May have a clog or blockage somewhere...

    transmission mount

Look brother this is how I rationalize it. It's a Cherokee. You won't feel the vibration any more than stock while you're giving it throttle. if you daily it and idle at stop lights and you're anal, yes it's annoying. if it's your second pleasure vehicle it won't make a huge difference. If...

    transmission mount

I have the Stinky fab as well. it does a great job, but it does vibe. it's noticeable if it's your daily. if it's your trail or camp rig it should be fine. I think I may go back to mopar in the near future (it lasted 100k+ here in socal) and sell the SFR. but mopar is definitely squishier.

4.0L XJ Auxiliary cooling fan activating at high temperature - overheating?

remember it's the front sensor near thermostat that controls when the E fan to comes on. Can the gauge sensor, near the rear of the engine be wrong? Would there be any reason for the rear of the engine near the firewall to be 20-40F higher than the front? blockages, etc. verify w/$10 infrared...

4.0 getting really noisy! Have I killed another one? Videos

i'm sure this is not it because you are skilled enough to install a new timing chain. however, the video sounds like a giant open vacuum. you've hooked up a vacuum gauge already right

    normal voltage

I think you're right. just been avoiding it. the battery is kind of new 48 months maybe, but the cables are 23 years young. I will also tighten the belt slightly, once in a blue moon the ps pump will slip in reverse, not sure if it's due to low voltage/idle in reverse or belt stretch.

    normal voltage

ps even while pulling 1500 rps the voltage struggles to sit at 13.5 with blower/lamps on. but eventually it will settle there. battery tests good i think, 12.4-12.7 car off depending how long it's been sitting

    normal voltage

1996. I'm pulling these readings from the OBD2 I put in a new alternator (stock replacement). With headlamps and blower going it will can below 13.5 at idle. 13.7-13.8 when i'm just riding along with not much going on. radio/dash backlight dims when turning on accessories. idles nice and rough...
