Need some quick help.
I added a 2" lift to my 98.
Like it.
What shocks should I run?
I had some bad advice before and the RS5000's are the same length as stock.
So once in a while I get the bang bang just driving.
Anyoneone with a fast answer?
Thanks!:wave1:
Not sure if it will help, might be a longshot, but play "musical relays" and move all of them down one slot, check fuses and fusible links. I ran out of gas yesterday:doh: and it quit under power. tried to start and start, same thing, had spark but no bang. I let it sit and moved and wiggled...
There is also a "AIR-LIFT" filling tool. Todays vehicles almost all need it. Not only closed systems but a loit of them have something, heater core or hose, that is higher than the radiator. Drilling the T-stat will work on cherokees "usually" but an Airlift pulls vacuum on your system using air...
Cool to have a lift but it might still be a pain for hand clearance from body to bellhousing, good news is I'm pretty sure it'll cure what ails you! Pretty common problem. When you take out your old one and make sure it is not broken from being hit by something. Had a friend that had something...
I read a couple of TSB's that talk about a wiring connector replacement.
Does your speedo and tach drop out?
Airbag light come on?
My 98 has TSB for removing the dash and cleaning the plug in and then reassemble.
I'd be happy to look up TSB's for your but need what Cherokee you have. When you...
Check to see if your auxillary fan is coming on. Mine comes on just above 210. Clutch fan should have some resistance to turning it by hand and should have NO wiggle if you pull front to back on your fan blades. Also should not be covered in oil or caked with dirt on the front where the sensor...
Fusible links should be right off of the starter relay. Usually have a large black "connector looking thing on them. Right at the starter relay. They work like a fuse with a jacket on. They blow inside and the outside looks fine. Pull on them one by one like already mentioned, if any of them...
I pull cotter pins back nuts down to just flush with the to of ball stud on both upper and lower, then I use a hammer, brass if yo like and smack the upper and lowwer like twice and it ussuallt just falls against the nuts and then I take off the knuckle. The tough part is the balljoints...
:flame: Don't burn it yet!
P0700 = Check fluid If burnt or contaminated with metal or friction particles it probably needs rebuilt. If you adjust level re-test to make sure symtom is gone. check and adjust manual linkage if adj was necessary re-test. Inspect the following connectors for...
Don't drop ypur tank just yet. I have a 98 doing the same thing. If I get in and let the fuelpump prime the first time, just "hit" the key to energize the starter and then crank it starts everytime. As soon as our scanner gets back I am going to talk to the computer and see whats up. Mine is...
