All that tube work, one ton axles, and 42's and you cheaped out on the basics (gears and suspension)?

Seems an aweful lot to ask of four small bolts attached only by nutserts in the unibody. I tried something similar coming off the back of a Clayton's x-member (much more stout ) and it held up all of 1/2 a trip into the rocks before it was bent upwards making contact with the t-case.

I ended up using the BH38872 and BH38873 hoses. They measured right at 25". This is a YJ but you should get the idea.

The longest one-piece rubber brake line I have been able to find is just under 26". Raybestos part numbers BH38872 and BH38873. Anyone else come up with anything longer? CartsXJ, I asked for a line for the application you told me and the parts guy came back with a short line, I'd say 9"...

But the application is mid 90s Chevy right? I'll have to check them out.

No, they are both 2.5" wide. The YJ springs are shorter than the XJ springs though and won't work.

You can buy a notched cross pin specifically for this application from Randy's R&P. It has to be installed in the carrier before the ring gear is bolted on. Otherwise the only other way to do it is to grind the teeth on the ring gear for the cross pin to clear.

You'll need them on the corners as well, a center strap alone won't do much for droop at each wheel. On my XJ I set my outboard straps up to stop droop just before the coils unseated.

Your problem probably has to do with the engine mounts than the tranny mount. Stock engine mounts are sloppy.
