    Does anybody happen to know if the torx bolts that attach the rear seat belts to the floor are welded to the body underneath? I cannot for the life of me get them to turn. I would like to know before I bust out the impact wrench.

    Well, it seems to be running fine. No issues since. The explanation that the shop gave me was that there was not enough voltage going to the fuel pump. I guess they replaced some of the wiring.     I will also run when you have the selector on "bi-level". I like to to run it on that so it heats the whole inside.

    buzzing noise

    I just had my fuel pump replaced a week ago and it still sounds like there is a colony of wasps in my tank. I also have the ballast resistor by-passed as well. Don't really know if it cuts down on the noise as it was by-passed when I bought my heap. '91 I6 AW4 LTD.

    So I ended up taking my heep to a shop. The replaced the fuel pump and still same issue. They did an injector clean because they said that the screen in the fuel rail was clogged. Same issue. So they replaced the fuel regulator and still same issue. Then they said that they just fiddled with...

    Need help with flex plate and torque converter!!

    I would just like to add the link above is for WJ's not XJ's. The WJ's do not have the AW4. I believe they have a Chrysler tranny. Chrysler tranny's take ATF+2, ATF+3 and ATF+4 fluid. The AW4 takes dexron III fluid. There is a BIG difference. Just wanted to get that oot there.:peace:

    I got 2 bolts from the wreckers, but I dropped one into the bell housing. I looked for ever for that thing. I took off the inspection plate. I even jacked up the back of the heep about 2 feet to see if it would fall out. Nothing. I just used the old bolt that was in there before.

    It IS very frustrating! I only have my issue when the bitch is at operating temp. Runs great up until then. I had it running for about an hour the other night in the shop. As soon as it warmed up, the engine would race up and then hover around 200-300 rpm and then die. I would start it...

    Well I managed to get the new CPS in. It did not make a difference. I am still having the same issue. I have no idea what it can be. I don't think it's my fuel pump as there seems to be enough pressure at the fuel rail. I don't know.
