Thanx 4 the replys. You're right JJacobs, I was looking at the before #'s for the toe. The toe IS currently + 1/32" for both left and right sides. Also according to their printout the caster should be between 6.0° and 8.0° (Of course it also says Jeep 99 - 06 Wrangler TJ on the printout) so...

    UCA bushing question

Since I've only seen one kind listed where ever they sell them, I'm assuming that the same bushing that goes in the body end of the UCA is the same as the one that gets pressed into the axle housing. Just need a confirmation if this is correct. Yes I did search. Cal-XJ

I tried the search but couldn't find anything. Heres the deal. 87 XJ 4.0L, all oil pan bolts removed. Darn thing still won't budge even after hitting it with plastic and rubber mallet. Should I try and wedge a putty knife or screwdriver in there? Any tips on replacing rear main seal after I get...

87 Renix-hard to start when warm

yes, about a year. it seems like its been getting progressively worse. At first it just did it on hot days during the summer or when I had driven it on the freeway 20 or 30 miles. After a while it seemed liked it didn't have to be as hot out for it to happen or for me to drive as far.

87 Renix-hard to start when warm

My xj starts ok when cold, but after it gets warm it takes alot of cranking to get it to start. It turns over just fine but sputters and bucks something awful. Then when it does start it revs up to about 2k for 1/2 a minute or so (sometimes even longer) It has a new (1 yr old) fuel pump, fuel...

Not sure if it this will help but on my 87 pioneer sometimes when it doesn't start I have to wiggle the auto shifter lever back and forth to get it to start. I need to adjust the switch (neutral start)

    96 cherokee dies after starting

My cherokee dies as soon as you release the key from start to run. It will stay running if you step on the gas pedal and hold it down slightly.(so I don't think it's the key switch) After letting it run for a minute, you can let off the pedal and it stays running.(dead spot on TPS ?) It has also...

    Newbie w/ Questions

1st off I gotta say, Love this site! Very Informative! That said, here's the deal. 1987 XJ pioneer, 4.0L, auto. I was having problems with a high (1200 rpm) idle when starting up cold. Cleaned out the IAC and that helped. Alot of times after I'd stop to fill up on the way home, when restarting...
