how much should it cost to rebuild???

i have ordered a 231J from a 2001 xj, according to my research it should work

23 splines sorry

1987-2001 , NP231, Command-Trac, 2.72:1, 26 splines (Same as D44 & D30 pinion. Also same as both outputs of D300 transfer case.) , from 87-01 the 231's are all the same

i have a xj it is out of a xj same model

found 1 on ebay with 74000 miles just ordered it see how it goes

i dont see any TC's on quadratec just parts

is the 242 a direct swap??

I have just been told I need to replace my Transfer Case any ideas on what i should pay for a used or new TC? how hard is it to install? i have a 96 xj auto 269km on it and it is a 231j tc

Stock fenders i have on right now

I was wondering if you guys could post some pictures of your XJ's without fenders??? also how hard is it to take them off? will there be holes? what will i have to do??

WoW i did open a can of worms.. or someone did. Gas milage is already crap or close to it and i have the 31's on it so i just think i will stay with them i cant see 33's looking much different or giving me any advantage. I will note i rarley take it off road anymore(yes a shame) it is...

so if i go with 33x10.5 i should not have to re gear

so i will stay with my 31's just get a diff brand lol
