Im thinkin about building a custom winch bumper it's going to look nice kinda like a Hanson. I dont know what thickness would be good though? I dont want it to be too heavy but I dont want it to look like a pretzel by winch hill two either. I was thinking something like 5/16 would be strong but...
I have an XJ Dana 44 that is painted black has 307s I think, new rabestos super stop shoes, and good drums. I want to trade it for a set of good toyota axels. If this sounds good to anyone PM me or e mail me at [email protected]
that thing is awsome ive seen it on the trail.... Just kidding Im not totally sure but I think if you hit a pothole that bolt on the pit man arm would break off and you would swearve straight into a bus full of nuns. that is only if you could get it to move after pulling out of the driveway and...
I just used the shifter and cable from a mountain bike it works great and is high quality. Just make sure to get a good after market one or one off a good bike.
that slip joint is way too far apart if it's sitting flat your going to break something if you wheel it like that. Why H/T? It may get rid of your bad vibes but it's going to be even weaker then the stock weak slip yoke when you get done not to mention you will spend more time and more money...
If you have the tool to press a bearing on and off you should use the shims off your old pinion that's kinda gear tech 101 the pinion should almost always be shimmed the same.
I think the pattern is ok it's hard to tell with those pics, I can see the coast side of the gear but not real good on the drive side. it looks like you have more like 10 thousands by the pattern. What are you checking backlash with? and did you use the shims off your old pinion for the new one?
pattern looks ok. Bummer though you are going to have to replace the crush sleave. If you loosen it at all you will loose all preload. and if you try to re tighten it the crush sleave wont work properly a gear shop will prolly give you one if you ask nice or sell you one for like two bucks
Ya I have the rear disc on my 8.8. Im running 33's. the rear disc made a world of difference but I need more on the trail I dont like having to cram the pedel to the floor everytime I go down a rock face. It makes me nervouse that somethings gonna give. I have stainless brake lines but still...
Yes they suck unless you are running stock tires on it. they still werent the greatest. I have an 89 I know they improved after 91 but I need something better for mine now. They work decent at speed but not good at all on the trail or from slow stops. I have Rabestos super stop pads, they dont...
Are any of your speaker wires touching? And the biggest thing is any of the positive cable touching the outside of the amp? I worked in a stereo shop in highschool. let me know if any of that fixes it
