I have had a 6.5 inch lift on my 98 for over a year and at least 30k miles with nothing done to the driveshaft or transfercase, which im about to drop, and i havnt had a problem with anything other than some vibration when accelerating.

Alot of times, as already mentioned, its because of the weight of your oil. As the oil heats up it breaks down and gets thinner causing less pressure. Get a heavier oil and in most cases youll be fine.
