Thanks for the input. It hasn't caused any grief, but was curious if it was common in other xj's.

I recently purchased a 98 xj and i've noticed about a 30-40 second delay after i shift from 4wd to 2wd. After i engage 2wd the front end stays locked in. I'm not too familiar with this system. Is it vacuum activated ? Electric ? Anybody ????
