    88xj 4.0l fuel line

I kept smelling gas and finally found my leak. There's a steel fuel line that goes from the pressure regulator on the fuel rail, and runs through a clamp attached to the intake under that vacuum/ccv disconnect plug. The steel line is cracked inside that clamp The dealer tells me the part has...

    Radio Wiring Help

to figure out the polarity of the speaker wires you can take two wires that are going to the same speaker and touch them to the ends of a C or D cell battery. If you have the polarity right the speaker cone will push out. Backwards it will pull in. Darren

    electrical problem

Mine did exactly the same thing. It was just a short in the left taillight wiring harness where some butcher before me had tried to splice in a trailer plug. If I remember correctly, the front parking lights are on that fuse too. Darren

    Stupid Brakes *@$%$$!!!!

good to hear you got it going. This thread reminded me of the 4 times I had to bleed my clutch on my Ranger. Kept getting bad mc's. The first time I called the dealership service guy after 2 of us had been bleeding it for 4 hours straight. The guy laughed and said, "you've only just started."...

tried jerky treats once. They smelled like beef jerky, looked like beef jerky, felt like beef jerky but definitely didn't taste like beef jerky.

Biggest tire with no lift but trimming and back space

I'm not sure if a '94 would be any different from mine but on an '88 Limited I'm flareless with BFG AT 31" on Ford Explorer 15" x 8" wheels with 4.5" BS. My front fenders are cut about an inch all the way around (about a quarter inch past the flare mounting holes) and straight across to the...

    Stock backspacing 15x7" Ranger/Explorer wheels?

My '93 Ranger came with 15 x 8 wheels with 4.5" backspacing. 85xjwoody, what kind are yours? I've been trying to find a steel "wagon wheel" type with 4.5" bs but they all they seem to come in is 3.75" D

3/8" vertical Movement in my wheel, Do I need bearings?

About 15min from the border but a bit more of a drive to snohomish than I'd trust my heep to make (it's got a few issues right now). Anyhow, on the original post; if your steering knuckle has vertical play in it (jack up the front and put a 2'x4' under the tire and lift) then it's probably your...

    Radio install

I've had pretty good luck poking around on this site in the past: www.the12volt.com Somewhere on there they list the adapter plug you would need for your stock stereo plug. Just check the part number for the Stratus and the XJ. If they're the same it should work.
