Ok, heres the deal...
1998 Grand Cherokee 4.0L 4x4
A few months ago the battery in our GC started getting weak so I went and had it checked and they said is was on its way out so I got a new one...
This helped the problem at first but as time went by the battery would go dead in a couple of days...
Ok, no bad wires but I did find a small leak in the fuel return line going back to the tank. I know that the fuel pressure will effect the running/starting etc. but could low fuel pressure caused by the leak effect the o2 sensor to the point that it kicks a code?
96XJ~ 4.0 ~ AW4 tranny...
Tranny goes out so got it replaced. Check Engine light comes on when the tranny went out. Checked the codes and it was for a bad downstream o2 sensor. Replaced the sensor with a new one and had the codes cleared. Drove it for two days and the check engine light comes...
I had thought about this but the T-cases are different. The 89 T-case has a ton of vacume lines going to and or coming from it while the 96 has none.
I may have found a good 2000 AW4 transmission for a decent price. Will it interchange with the 1996???
Need to know if these two are interchangable. Our 1996 XJ smoked the AW4 transmission and we have a 1989 XJ that has a good AW4 transmission. Can I swap them out?
Thanks in advance!
