I just drove a 2001 Amber Fire on a test drive a few days ago. The used car salesman said it was Aztec Gold...and that (all) Cherokees are rare because they are being bought up and shipped to the Middle East. Yeah...right.

I think Amber Fire is the copper-colored burnt orange that you're talking about.

I don't think my '91 has an ICM. I also picked up a fuel pressure gauge and gave it a quick test. I think the pressures are good (~30-ish, ~40-ish psi), but I need to test it again when it isn't so cold outside.

Where exactly is the air intake manifold temp sensor on a 91? What does the ICM look like? I changed the cap an rotor since the problem started, but the old ones really weren't that old.

I replaced that with a really cool heavy duty red switch that I found at Ace Hardware. I need to get another one because the toggle switch looks like it will fit into one of the rectangular slots in my WRX. Then I can label it "rocket assist" or something.

Genius! I like the idea about taking ramps to the car wash. Funny stuff.

To recap: new FPR new O2 sensor new fuel filter new cap and rotor pretty new plugs and wires (wires are still clean! heh heh) I swapped the whole throttlebody assembly off of my 'good' 95XJ, including TPS and IAC. I think I'll swap the coils next, since it looks easy.

I just put in a new fuel pressure regulator. No difference. :(

Cap and rotor are new. I think I put platinum plugs in earlier this year.
