You can use a flex socket.. http://s.sears.com/is/image/Sears/00943207000-1?wid=500&hei=500&op_sharpen=1 i was able to easily torque every bolt while leaning over the fender..Just use an extension to reach the bolts under the header

Mine got so bad my hood wouldn't even close one day..Had to turn around and get a can of pb blaster before i got on the highway..Wish I'd done it sooner

Just did this a few weeks ago..Swivel socket is great..Its a socket built right onto the end of a u joint..So its more compact..You can get them at sears..I tightened all of mine up while leaning over the fender,with a swivel socket and extension or 2, aimed it right under the manifold..

I actually have a spare one so Ive been waiting for it to break down before I throw it in and see if it fixes it..Not sure if its the crankshaft sensor as I was getting spark when it broke down (?)

What are the symptoms of a bad cam/ synch sensor? Truck runs fine like 90% of the time but a few times already it got into this mood where the engine just sputters out suddenly while driving down the road,like its out of gas..I pull over it starts and runs fine then dies about a block later...

make sure you dont crack the thermostat housing when you screw it in like i did :mad: It has a tapered pipe thread not a normal thread

I had an ignition switch electrical problem..Got a new switch from autozone (a duralast brand) The flag part of the switch wouldnt even fit into the steering column at first...Checked with a micrometer and the dimensions for the metal flag part that sticks out were slightly off from the...

current technology= from what I understand old transformer welders are almost indestructable compared to the newer inverters ..I would buy a used 30 year old miller in a heartbeat if I had a big enough breaker to run it on..

The gasket for my water pump was leaking out of the top, and I thought it was the thermostat's gasket, it was kinda hard to tell...Prob not your issue but Just a thought.

95 with 209k I bought it in June of 09 with 173k and put 36,000 miles on it in 1 year..In that time a starter died, headlight switch broke, the gasket for the waterpump sprung a leak, and the coolant temperature sensor died..The exhaust fell off on the highway too but i could have prevented that..

hmmm dont want to jinx myself but this problem mysteriously went away for 2 days now
