    Bolt On Steering Options

Plus, I thought I read that you can't use stock wheels with it due to interference with the knuckle brackets... I don't want to have to buy new wheels or spacers AND this extremely expensive steering solution... It is a really cool idea though...

Agreed, but that thing is VERY expensive if I remember correctly.

    Bolt On Steering Options

My IRO track bar bracket drops the track bar 3/4" at the frame, so technically, my angles don't match anymore (or as close as they were stock), so maybe a drop pitman arm and upgrading to the ZJ V8 tie rod setup is my least expensive solution. Throwing this next one out there now since if I...

Radiator Fan Override Switch (The Easy Way)

Thanks - I'm going to try a new CTS first...I would rather have it work the way it's supposed to. On the sensor, RockAuto has like 5-7 choices...ranging from under 20 to over 30...I know I prob shouldn't pick the cheapest and prob don't need the most expensive either...Good brands? Thanks!

    Bolt On Steering Options

97 Cherokee with 122k miles...During the installation of my lift I replaced some of the TRE boots that were split with Energy Suspension TRE boots and one Dorman rubber boot. I've got 5" of lift and have only put about 3k miles on since the boots were installed. My steering system is...

Radiator Fan Override Switch (The Easy Way)

I like this idea. Thanks for all the work in laying it out so someone without too much knowledge of relays and such can install it. I would like to know if it's possible though to add another relay with it's own "switch" to power on the fan. My fan is not coming on when the coolant temp...

HELP A/C Fan Not working correctly HELP

I have a similar problem with my electric fan in my 97 not coming on at approx 218 deg and above. It has come on with the A/C turned on (however, I didn't run it long and don't remember the engine temp at the time). Last night I hooked my scanner up to the jeep and watched the live data until...

    How to remove this?

I just rocked it back and forth while pulling up on it with both hands...it is just a friction fit over the studs...you should be able to see the studs from the rocker cover side (barely) and stick a screwdriver or pry bar end in there to give it a little nudge.

Where to buy rear leaf spring bushings?

I ordered my bushings from Quadratec for my OME springs. Like KASTEIN said, cheapest I could find too...stock shackles with bushing installed are $18 ea. So, just under $80 total plus shipping of 12.99. I think that's prob the best price you'll find. Try RockAuto.com too...haven't checked...

    Grease Choices

Thanks guys...I ended up buying a couple of tubes of this... http://www.valvoline.com/products/consumer-products/grease-gear-oil/grease/66 It's red and seems to be pretty tacky as well...look and feels nearly identical to the lucas stuff. Now I just gotta grease everything up real good...

    Grease Choices

So, this sounds like it fits the bill...believe these are avail at our local Fleet Farm. http://docs.mystiklubes.com/msds_pi/20031.pdf Hi-Temp grease with Moly Maybe overkill?

    Grease Choices

I simply searched "grease" and didn't find what I was looking for in the first few pages...at least not by topic. My question is: Is wheel bearing grease good enough to use on everything? From ujoints to driveshaft slip-joints to TREs to super-joints on long arms, etc, etc? Or what is THE...

    gearing down...

One thing to keep in mind too is that you are putting a lot more torque into one location with just that tc kit. I had a suzuki samurai and this was a big topic of discussion among them since replacement tc gearsets are abundant for them. Putting new axle gears in puts the torque transfer down...

    JCR Steering

Yes, now I've seen several posts of current RR setup owners who hate it...I'll avoid that one. I see Ballistic Fab makes a crossover setup with rod ends that requires welding...they also have a chevy TRE setup but I'd assume this is the same as JCR's and requires drilling/reaming of the...
