:laugh2: I dunno if its quite as bad as running like that but it feels like it when it does hit a lip going onto a bridge and the front end bounces, funny thing is that the steering doesn't get squirrly at all just the suspension

4.0L auto, 4x4- Hey all, I was noticing some excessive bounce in the front end after going over a few bumps on the highway so I went to O'Reillys and got their cheap HD shocks for the front (chapies cause I plan on lifting in the spring) and installed, Drove to work the next day and hit a bump...

She has about a 30 min drive to and from work so and it heats up before it leaves the driveway. So I will be checking the cooling system and then swapping in a different t-stat.

Ok Thanks for the info guys that is kind of a problem that I have been thinking about. I will be sure to check the hoses when the wifey gets home. Hoping is just the actuator and not a plugged heater core.

Sorry I forgot that Jeeps are so particular, Its a '98 with a 4.0. I did check the temp with the temp gun and its up right where the T-stat should be + or - a few degrees.

Also forgot I did replace the T-stat also cause it was running hot over the summer. Used a 180 stock one

Hey all, So been busy as hell lately, but the wifes XJ has little to no heat. I tried flushing the heater core and flow seemed good. temp gauge goes up to about 180 or so. Any suggestions?

Hey all. So New problem with the XJ. Was getting groceries the other night with the wife and opened the hatch to put them in and when we got home the handle felt normal but it wont open. I tried getting into the latch from the inside but not much room there. Any tips?:helpme:

Yeah I got power to the 30 and 80 (I believe) terminals.

Hey all. So the new XJ got towed home off the freeway after it died on the wife. So I investigated and found no fuel PSI at the rail and no pump cycling. So swapped out the Relay and no change, I have power at two terminals at the relay. Then I checked at the plug going to the tank right above...

Well Took the XJ for a road trip up north for the weekend and pulled down a respectable 23-24 MPG non interstate

Yeah, it sounds like it has a leak and maybe it finally bled off enough not kick on. I'd have them leak check it by hooking nitrogen up to it, that is by far the best way to leak check an a/c system.
