Well, it looks like a few things happened when I tried the mod, thanks for all your help. I apologize for hijacking this thread a little bit.
1 - The switch on the driver side unlock and passenger side unlock somehow shorted out from the attempted mod. I was able to turn the drivers side switch...
At this point I know something is messed up in my wiring. I can get the passenger side to unlock all doors just fine when back to original wiring. However when I try to lock doors from passenger side I get no electronic response. The driver's side will also not unlock or lock electronically. On...
Ok so what I've found is the tan line that runs the open is working fine. The light green line that runs the lock switch shorts out for some reason when power given directly to the circuit. I can't seem to figure out why.
Blown two 30 amps somehow. Then put back to original and only the passenger side door will try to even unlock, refuses to lock. Nothing from driver side.
This is where I am struggling. Can I run ALL ground wires stated to one ground location? The 87a, and 85 from each relay? I have the following:
87 receives power from 10ga with 30 amp fuse
86 receives tan or Lgreen from the door side
30 receives tan or Lgreen from the front side
87a and 85 are...
Didn't see it mentioned( unless is missed it), but you might check ALL your vacuum lines after checking the MAP line. Poor pressure through mutliple cracked lines could cause some issues but doubtful that much of a power loss issue.
I know egr was mentioned but is it disconnected or blocked...
I tried searching this site and the internet and couldn't get an answer.
I passed smog (California)! Last time only took me 7 tries and all of your help.
However my Nox is still pretty high, close to failing.
Max at 15 is 711 mine was 448
Max at 25 is 613 mine was 567.
I have my transducer...
Major Update:
A picture truly would've been worth the last thousand words in this thread.
If only I had sent you all a picture you could've told me I was making a huge error in reading my multimeter. I was using the wrong setting to measure the output voltage of the TPS.
You would've caught the...
Which wire would be the ground for the IAC?
I will isolate the grounds for each of the connectors as whatever is going on with the dipstick is not properly grounding.
Just checked the MAP ground. 2.4 OHMS, Grounded to the chassis ground right 3 inches from it at .5 OHMS. Sprayed electronic cleaner at the MAP hose because I didn't have CARB cleaner. Made no difference. But I am suspect of that still.
