Radio and dome light weren't working when I went to leave the house yesterday.I replaced the 10A radio/dome fuse. Radio and dome lights operated for another 5 mins. and then fuse popped again. I read an old thread where someone else had the same issue I'm having. They discovered chaffed wiring...

Between myself, my wife and daughter..there's 6 (7 counting our tractor) vehicles I need to maintain/repair. They nearly always have issues one right after the other and then I'll catch a short break before the cycle starts again. It DOES get old some times...but it beats the $hit out of...

I got my junk stuck during an ice storm..had to wait 30 hours (for the ice to melt) to have it winched.

Spotted: Carlisle, PA near Plainfield exit 44. Riding on 35's - 37's, prob 5.5-6.5 in of lift, dark grey,green, or black (hard to tell it was dark)...and it was exocaged!:thumbup: Funny thing is..I always seem to spot em when I'm NOT driving mine.

I've read that some have had cooling problems after switching to an open system. Perhaps they used a radiator cap w/ too low of p.s.i. rating for the cooling system? Did you experience this?

I've already purchased (from the dealership) two new coolant fill bottles for my 89' 4.0 over the last three years. Both have cracked and leaked. Who sells a fill bottle that's not a cheap p.o.s.?

Mine's been without a headliner for several years now. I suppose it gets hotter/colder than it would if it had one but it's not noticeable. I do plan on installing a new headliner though......................one day. :rolleyes:

Yeah just from the short bit of searching of done thus far I can tell I'm in for a fun time trying to track down a fob. Speaking of factory options.. I've yet to see an 80's Cherokee w/ more options than my 89' Laredo has. Hmmm...could be an interesting thread to start seeing what all options...

Pure ignorance on my part. I thought it would be a good idea to go wheelin' after installing my lift. The problem was..I hadn't installed my SYE yet. I hit a large bump at high speed..compressed my suspension/driveline..and snapped the output shaft and tail section clean off my xfer. Lesson...

[ Over 200K..I did partially rebuild it after this though....... I'll definitely look into making some linkage adjustments.

Look at the top of the windshield in between the sun visors..you can see the factory IR receiver.

You're correct...wishful thinking on my part. What I have is the factory keyless entry system. Looking in my owners manual shows two very odd looking key fobs that came w/ that system. If I should get lucky enough to find one of these fobs..would the dealership be able to re-program it for my...
