I think I'll be trying to find a replacement regular hex bolt once I get the torx bolt out. I've found an inexpensive but decent 8 pc torx set but it only goes up to T55. Guess I'll give it a try and hope I don't need the T60.
Mine came with new hardware for the other side but I'm to re-use the stock bolt on the passenger side. The jeeps in the driveway until I certify otherwise I'd just drive it down to the parts store, they are fairly friendly and relaxed here as well.
Gotcha, great thank you. So with the welded nut on the back I'm definitely going to need the torx bit. I'll start with trying to find the seatbelt size if they're the same size and go from there. Thanks again Dan.
All I'm doing is replacing the steering stabilizer. Remove nut and bolt, slide the bolt through new steering stabilizer bushing and tighten it back up. The torx head on the bolt is much bigger than anything I have. Are we talking about the same bolt Dan?
Anyone else have a torx bolt for their steering stabilizer on the axle mount side and know the size? Every other post I see is a regular bolt head. Thanks in advance for the help.
I got it started by wiggling the shifter when in park so it seems to be the Neutral Safety Switch. I had this installed about two years ago as part of a recall so I can't see it beeing too badly gummed up or bad. I found this link http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoNSSrebuild.htm using the search...
Well I couldn't get it going so I had it towed off to the dealer. The tow must have bumped something the right way because it started up at the dealer the first time. I picked it up and drove it for a couple days with no problems. Then one time it did it again, nothing the first two times I...
Thanks for the reply, the batterie is fully charged and all the lights come on when I turn the ignition, I can also hear what must be the fuel pump but nothing else happens. It has started twice since this started three days ago but is doing it again. In the past it was always "turning over"...
I've been having a problem with the MAP sensor for a while now. My Jeep would crank over but would not start. When I unplugged the MAP sensor and "fiddled with it" the Jeep would start right up. Now it won't start or even turn over at all. It has started up twice for me since it has stopped...
