Not being a smartass here, just don't quite understand. How does which side the rubber/poly bushing is on make a difference in noise/vibration? I would think as long as its in one end, doesn't matter which. Or am I missing some reason why it would be more effective at the axle end?

In doing research on control arms, it seems some manuf put them at the axle end of the LCA, some at the frame end. Are there pros and cons to either way, or does it really not matter?

I have also been told that if you have a 242 transfer case and the jeep is aligned with 231 specs (slight toe-in) it can cause this.

the tone ring is definitely on the shaft. i'm an idiot (not thinking) and was trying to use 2001 TJ unit bearings (= cast rotor) on my 98 XJ (= composite rotor) and it caused the rotor to contact the heat shield preventing the wheel from turning. i jumped to conclusion thinking the difference...

i've got a bad unit bearing. my XJ has ABS. no autoparts stores show an ABS replacement part available. i haven't called the dealer yet but i'm scared to find out how much a dealer would want for a part that no aftermarket is available.
