Where does the flex joint go?

Not being a smartass here, just don't quite understand. How does which side the rubber/poly bushing is on make a difference in noise/vibration? I would think as long as its in one end, doesn't matter which. Or am I missing some reason why it would be more effective at the axle end?

Where does the flex joint go?

In doing research on control arms, it seems some manuf put them at the axle end of the LCA, some at the frame end. Are there pros and cons to either way, or does it really not matter?

    MTR's or KM2's

Which do you think is the better tire offroad for trails/mud? Don't have a whole lot of rocks here in south LA so I'm not so worried about that. While street manners (noise, ride, balance, etc) are factors for me, the manners of my current KM1s are just find. I can't see either the KM2s or...

    Detours Tailbone Availability?

Any idea when these will be available again? I want to get my spare tire off the roof rack but don't really want to fork out the coin for an entire rear bumper.

Currie XJ-specific control arms: what's so special?

no but i did ask the good folks at naxja who have never failed me before. i work in a customer service field (diesel performance & repair). nothing irritates me more than annoying people calling with questions and looking for advice when they never intend on actually spending any money with...

Currie XJ-specific control arms: what's so special?

In the market for some new short arms. After seeing the Iron Man arms advertised here I will likely go that route. Now I'm just more curious than anything. I noticed Currie has two control arms for the XJ. The same 9106s they have been selling for TJ/LJ/XJ/MJ and now they have a 9106XJ that...

    Help with 4x4 sticking

Don't know where you got that info but 242 is supposed to have zero toe. Something to do with it messing with the full-time 4wd. The guy that aligned my jeep (that has been aligning jeeps since the 70s) was explaining it to me. I had him align mine to the 231 specs since it should help with...

New NAXJA sponsor! Boostwerks brings you the first 4.0L turbo manifold!

I was wondering that myself. Also, would it be possible to get some pics of the complete setup on the boostwerks XJ?

    Help with 4x4 sticking

I have also been told that if you have a 242 transfer case and the jeep is aligned with 231 specs (slight toe-in) it can cause this.

dealer only source for ABS hub assembly?

the tone ring is definitely on the shaft. i'm an idiot (not thinking) and was trying to use 2001 TJ unit bearings (= cast rotor) on my 98 XJ (= composite rotor) and it caused the rotor to contact the heat shield preventing the wheel from turning. i jumped to conclusion thinking the difference...

dealer only source for ABS hub assembly?

i've got a bad unit bearing. my XJ has ABS. no autoparts stores show an ABS replacement part available. i haven't called the dealer yet but i'm scared to find out how much a dealer would want for a part that no aftermarket is available.

JCR Light Rack + other aftermarket Roof Rack?

Anyone have any pics of this? I have a Kargo Master rack that was on the XJ when I bought it, that I actually like. However, those cheap-o brackets they sell that are supposed to be "light mounts" look like junk, especially for $50/pair. The round tubes seem like it would make for a PITA to...
