I wouldn't go over 4.5" for backspacing. you get pretty close to the rear sway mounts after that.

Well, I can tell you that a '94 harness DOES have a plug for the rear of head sensor, so does a 95 ( I have both) but they changed the plug. its a plastic contraption, not the female "bullet" style connector. when mine broke, I switched it to the bullet type. Sorry,I don't have pics of them...

That all depends on what year/type 5.7 you have, Carb or efi....... Novak adaptors has all kinds of info on all kinds of swaps.

Thanks! I'll see if I can get one tomorrow. I don't remember what year my radiator is from, but it's not threaded for a sensor.

I have an 87 Comanche that I've ditched the pressurized tank and switched to a newer style radiator with the cap right on it. the new rad. doesn't have a spot for the sensor in the tank, and from what I can find that's what controls the elec fan. my question is, will a t-stat housing sensor...

Sorry, but that's just silly. "custom" length pushrods aren't that much and you can get shims for under the rockers very cheap. I used the shims on mine and its been fine for 8yrs.

FWIW didn't work to good for mine. I was told the molded area where the glass sits is different, I told him to do it anyway with extra sealant .....and it leaks. I tried that thin sealer that's supposed to find the path the water does, but it still leaks. not much, but a drip here and there.

Just my opinion but a 4bbl doesn't look stock either. Way back when I was thinking of building one, I was planning to get a Clifford intake and run a 4bbl on my 7120 head, but I was looking for more strip than street.
