Actually 1986 was the first year for Renix. The 1986 2.5L TBI is a Renix system.

The Comanche never had ABS offered as an option from 1986-1992.

The doors on a Comanche are the same as the front doors on a 4 door Cherokee of the same year.

Dodge Dakota taillights are not the same. They may look the same but they are totally different. The Comanche taillights have 3 bulbs in them while the Dakota taillights have 2 bulbs and the taillights mount differently too.

Yeah I would replace the alternator for sure if you think it's going bad.

Could be a lifter making the noise too.

I wouldn't worry about those connectors. I would say they are probably for some accessories that you don't have.

I would go with the calipers with the metal pistons also. I just think they would hold up a lot better than the plastic pistons.

I'm assuming you meant you have an AX-5 in your 1985 Cherokee with the 2.8L V6. The Peugeot BA-10/5 will not bolt up to the 2.8L V6. The bellhousing bolt pattern is completely different.
