Racing an XJ in Dirt Riot

Here is my race Jeep. I raced it in the "Trail" class at a W.E. Rock Dirt Riot Endurance race at RAM Off Road Park. It has a 3.5" RE lift, front & rear lunchbox lockers, 32" swampers, and a cage. Otherwise it is stock.


I made it two laps before breaking the u-joint on the driver's side:


It would be great to see more XJ's at these events. W.E. Rock has these races all over the country. It is a blast!

what ujoints were you running? 260s or 297s?

This is a stock 93 front axle so I assume it is the smaller 260s. I have a waggy 44 front and a D60 for the rear when I get time to fab them up.

find an XJ at the parts yard with ABS and snatch the shafts from it, it will have the larger joints in it.

We are building for KOH Stock Class, but are looking into the Dirt Riot series. Its a xj that we are building and laybe we will see you on the course/track some day....
