Changing the w/pump should I look for anything else while Im doing that?
I know the belt will be replaced. Its notr cracked but the top side is very shiny and slick looking.
so what do you all think, like what I should check for?
I have a 89 Comanche 4.0 4x4

thanks

How old is your fan clutch/radiator cap/radiator/hoses/t-stat?

It's a way easy job if the radiator is taken out of the way first. If any of the above needs attention, that would be the perfect time to do it. That's what I did.

Putting a towel over the back of the radiator saves my hand from scrapes, and the fan clutch, don't neglect that. Its taking it off makes it easier to change the water pump too.
Sound like it could work, I just pull the radiator on XJ's so I got room to work.
