any have the problem of putting the pin back in the 8.25 when installing their new gears? i set the backlash and all that junk, but is there a way to adjust the settings so i can get that pin in? i've heard of people shaving it a little... is this safe? it doesn't seem to affect the gear pattern.

Grind down the inside crown of the gear tooth thats restricting the pin. Only grind enough to be able to slip it in, about a 8th of a inch in from the inner edge of the ring gear and mayby a 32nd off the top.

If that's not clear enough I'm sure somebody will have a pic.

No wierdness later. It'll be okay. It's a normal thing to have to do..

its more ideal to grind the tooth of the ring gear. its at a point where no real contact is made with the pinion
