I've been trying to take off my old brake lines so. I can install extended ones for weeks. I can't seem to get them to come apart. So I want to cut the hard lines and reflare new fitting on. If someone in the pdx/couve area could lend me the flaring tool that would be awsome. Thanks

Have you been using a flare nut/line wrench for removal? If not, they make all the difference.

FYI you want a Double flaring kit, throw a $20 deposit down at Autozone for a free rental.. Thats what i did.. been there, done that.. sucks azz

Vice grips. Stripped the head. Completely rounded the fitting.
double flaring tool.. and a pipe cutter, you will also need new fittings.. Dont for one minute think that you will be able to cut those lines with a steak knife and file them down with a angle grinder.. It dont work out!
