I have a 99 Cherokee with a 4.5 " RC lift. I want some Bilstein 5100's but have no idea what size to get or item number to locate. . Bilstein directs me to a supplier and the supplier says...I just order what you order!

i got mine at 4WP in norcross GA, im running long arms so i got the 5100's for a TJ with a 6" lift. btw i have a 5.5" lift on my XJ

just go to a 4WP store and ask, theres a good chance you'll get the same advice you would here.

OUCH.

Anyway I'll save him from a trip to 4WP here's some Bilstein 5125 part #s:

(all are 255/70 valving, 14mm shaft, and eye/eye bushing mounts... these would need upper front eye converters, lower front/upper rear BPEs -like JKS- to mount)

Travel extended length collapsed length Part #

8.13" 21.54" 13.58" BE5-6252-H5
8.60" 22.50" 14.06" BE5-6253-H5
9.24" 24.35" 15.11" BE5-A463-H5
10.17" 25.93" 15.91" BE5-6428-H5
11.00" 28.01" 17.00" BE5-A465-H7
11.94" 29.70" 17.91" BE5-6249-H5
14.30" 34.90" 20.75" BE5-6250-H5

The two longer ones also can be had in 298/36 (stiffer) valving:

11.94" * * BE5-6249-T5
14.30" * * BE5-6250-T7

Looks like aprx $70 ea from eshocks

I would advise the OP to pull off the old shocks and flex up the rig. Then while it's flexed/stuffed pull some tape & match up some #s to the ones above. Maybe do each corner twice and be certain... Keeping in mind the BPEs and top mounts will 'steal' a little length. Don't drive around with no shocks BTW & don't let the new ones be limiters or bumpstops... ever.

Also here's the #s for OEM replacement 5100s:

stock front: B46-1798
stock rear: B46-1046

2-3" front: BE5-6255-H5
2-3" rear: BE5-6256-H5

4" front: BE5-6241-H7
4" rear: BE5-6686-H5

HTH & YMMV, these notes are from 2006.... If Swamprat or the OP had searched...
