Re: Grin's Dakota QuadCab

me too - since I am primarily a highway bound bastid, they seemed appropriate, and priced pretty well. Lots of reviews at Discount, and the only one's that aren't outstanding are 3/4 ton and larger rig-owners, and their reviews aren't bad either.

I thought they had good siping for snow/ice, decent voids for wheeling, and even a little side-tread variation for gripage... we'll see.

Re: Grin's Dakota QuadCab

look great, ride nice.... rubby rubby on 1.75" of front lift. I'll either do the 1" body lift muey pronto, or get out the cutoff wheel. Pics manana.

Re: Grin's Dakota QuadCab

Better photo, how these things should have looked from the factory. I am going to put the add a leaf in the rear and get about an inch of rake back, but I don't think I'm going to need the body lift... trimmed a bit yesterday, will trim a bit more as it is still rubbing on compression in a turn -- man it snowed a shitton while I was in AZ!

Re: Grin's Dakota QuadCab

I did get the front infinity component speaks in a couple weeks back... sound is less than stellar. will be replacing the head-unit and bypassing all factory wiring in hopes of getting it right...

picked up some seats from a 2000 VW golf today... comfy. will have to swap the brackets from the stockers onto these, may get to weld a little.

Re: Grin's Dakota QuadCab

Killer traction, not too loud. I have a wee bit of trimming left to do on the front bumper. Got the front mudflaps off, rears will require me to pull the wheels, and I have not been that motivated.

Ball joints need replacing, but I found fully assembled moog upper control arms on amazon for less than the price of ball joints and bushings... Will get those on in the next couple of weeks and simultaneously swap to bigger 03-04 discs up front. Just have to find the time.
