Rolled the 'kee...

I managed to roll my cherokee for the second time this year. :rattle: I was in the back hills of my neighborhood and it was late. The trail split into a "V" and I got stuck between the two of them, attemping to turn around. One went up the hill and the other went down. It was also late and the area is covered with foilage. Started to crank left and the back right came up and we were off. 2 and a quarter rolls later we ended up in a ravine. :hang: Everyone got out and we walked away safely.

Here's the recovery: http://www.amt.org/scott/9_22_2005.htm

Plan now for the cherokee is: Dedicated wheeler :chef: .

- cut some half doors similar to these: http://www.xjdb.com/albums/xjs/halfdoor2.jpg (minus the mirrors :) )
- strip the rear hatch and quarter panel windows (replace with nets)
- reinforce the front end, add a tow bar for flat towing (trailers are too much $$$)
- replace transfer case (the one in now is fried)
- replace rear bumper with swing out tire carrier
- get a cage :exclamati

Laugh at me, give me advice, sell me your transfercase, jeep on'. :repair:

"the area is covered with foilage."

This sounds like the "Tread Lightly" ideal that we encourage.......

CRASH

It's friend of a friend's hill(s) and it's their private property that's going to be excavated eventually.

By the way, thanks Jason and Rich. I really appreciate the help.

Doesn't look too bad, the A pillar appears to be good.
If you are concerned about looks, you can swap out some
front fenders, replace the windshield and broken mirrors,
sand and primer the "modified" sheet metal and drive it.
Doesn't appear to be much worse then my roll 3 years
ago. It still is a daily driver, have fun with it.

Looks never really mattered to me, which I guess may be the reason i flipped in the first place. However now I can dedicate the cherokee to wheeling and get a daily driver (taking a look at an 88 MJ 5 speed 4x4 this saturday :))

But yea... Atleast me and everyone else in there is safe. :sunshine:
