Brake Lights Don't Work Unless the Pedal is Pinned

I've noticed the brake lights on my '90 Limited (with the god-awful Bendix ABS system) don't go on unless I'm standing on the pedal and pressing it to the floor. Is there an adjustment I can make or a switch that can be replaced? I'm no rocket surgeon, but I'm pretty sure that no brake lights will cause me some trouble.
