What do you have to do to your rig for the event?

Me:
ball joints
unit bearings
t-case fluid change
front diff fluid change
oil change
lube/check suspension

not a ton of work, but not alot of "free" time to work on it either.....

install my rear locker
get a new cb antenna
get some CA drop brackets and longer brake lines
oil change

Lifting the MJ and swapping axles this weekend. That should go relatively smoothly.

Other than that...

Have Billy make rock rails and rear bumper
Order a new longer driveshaft
Install CB radio
Install C-Rok, front bumper, and winch
Install York OBA
Swap motors

I probably won't get EVERYTHING done. I'll get it trail-ready by Big Bear though. Even if I don't, I'll still drive up and ride with somebody.

But everything HAS to be done in time to run the 'Con in June.

My biggest issues to fix:

Steering again
realignment / tire rotation
bend my exhaust back so it doesnt rattle against leaf spring

I doubt I'll ever get enough time to do it.

I'd like to redo all the steering and trackbar stuff at some point

I really don't have to do anything, but I'd like to get some minor shight done.

It would be nice to replace the seat belts.
Replace CB antenna.
I guess I could replace the speakers, but the Jeep isn't quiet enough to enjoy the radio while driving anyway, and when we are parked the radio just isn't needed.

Maybe some work on the tow rig though.

:dunno:

Install 3-link
Regear D30 to 4.88
Install D44
Install JCR front and rear bumpers and sliders
Install JKS Crossover shock mount, front BPEs
Install JKS Boomerang shackles
Install CB and antenna
Install winch

Probably won't get all done either, but the major things that need to be done are gears, axle, 3-link, crossover shock mount, and CB

Get new TPS
Smog
Registration
Insurance
My rotors are toasted

That all I know of for now..

Oh yeah, insurance and smog are on the list. Registration is paid but waiting on smog and insurance to get stickers to drive legally.

Looks like I will only get the fluids changed.

The ball joints and unit bearing will have to wait until after this weekend!

I've been bustin' my butt trying to get my son's XJ up and running for this trip. I hopped in and turned the key.......nothing. Dead battery, so dead in fact that I can't even give it a jump. OH well, Bonnie is out of town and will be picking up a new one for it.
Should be ready to go by Thursday!!
