Ok so driving to school today was great. EXCEPT THAT ABS SUCKS IN THE WINTER. It freaks out under light braking inducing a slide. Is there a simple way to get rid of it for the winter months? Is it legal? My XJ is a 98 so its not Bendix.

Thanks in advance.

ABS is far superior in winter driving. Maintain steady brake pressure and steer. Without ABS the wheels lock up and you loose steering control. I would definitely leave it hooked up.

x2 abs shouldnt make you slide. i can jam on the brakes on ice or snow and it does its job, stop straight and true every time.

It overreacts tho.
