leaning toward the SAS this summer, we'll see

Looks real good Shane!

What are the tubes sticking forward from the lower control arm area?

troy, they hold my snow plow,

your opinion, i liked my xj too, but when the kids no longer fit you do what you gotta do. four kids are a tight fit in the xj

and as for commuting in the snow this thing make any xj i ever drove look dumb,

the extra weight make all the difference in the world on an icy road.

with 4.56s, rear locker the winch bumper and lights, running 33s she is a nice ride. and still tows my boat when i don't feel like breaking out the dually.

this summer she will get the SAS and coilovers front and rear, then you might want her.

Nice looking ride Shane and it's still a Mopar!!!

Are you doing your own custom SAS or did you atually manage to find a decent kit? I was looking for SAS swaps for these not too long ago as I was considering them, like you said the extra room and the V8 would be great. Plus, correct me if Im wrong, they are body on frame.

everything will have to be custom. I have experience building lots of custom swaps so no biggie for me.

just looking for the right axle. i have not decided on the final axle yet.

the v8 is nice and hand calculated at the moment getting about 17 mpg out of her, but i dont do any city driving almost exclusively HWYs through the mountains, used to get 17 out of the cherokee also, but the guys that bought her lives in the city and isn't getting that of her.

but it has new throttled body, custom 3 inch exhaust, hypertech programming,

You going leafsprung or coils?

i am thinking coilover and multi link this time.

with the solid frame i don't think i will have the issues with the plow snapping control arms like i had in the xj so i am go for the cushier rid

Nice, it should ride like a caddy, floating over the road.

grabbed an axle last night, 3/4 ton ford HP 44,

she will need a gear job, 5:13, is too deep for my rear axle so I will go back to the 4.56, but she comes with an OX locker already installed,

Talking to frank about having her shaved just a bit,

probably wont really tear in to this until spring as i use the rig to commute in the snow and plow the driveway.
