Thanks Matt!
So far I have logged 48 hours for the club by meeting with the Forest Service, studying maps, making suggestions, proof reading, making and installing the wooden sign boards. The chapter is off to a good start!
That "Forest Service Brown" paint is something else! Open the bucket, it looks like chocolate puddin', it stirs like chocolate puddin', it pours like chocolate puddin', it rolls out like chocolate puddin'. No, I did not taste the paint.
With the fire bans in the Boulder and Clear Creek Ranger Districts, an ban on target practice was instituted within those ranger districts. When I got to the "not a shooting area" on FS 710, there were a half-dozen guys doing some clean-up. Good bunch of guys! I told them I appreciated their effort, then I had to break their hearts. They were relieved to hear that the duration was only for the fire ban.
Another gratuitus picture.
We need to get some pickup trucks, or at least a trailer on the next couple runs. The plan is to replace 24 signs on our adoption. Soon as I know when the new signs will be here, I'll set up a poll for August, to see when the most people will be able to participate.
One more reason for a pickup truck on the next run: FREE TOPPER!!!!!!!!
