A few months ago I asked for advice on this project and promised pics when it was done.......here's a few.I also want to thank everyone who has helped me out through this project, this forum has been a wealth of information for me on a vehicle I wasn't that familiar with.........I am now!!!
If there is any questions I can answer I'd be glad to.
Thanks, Steve.

I dig that.

ya i was thinking the same thing . like that front brace half .looks good for mounting some nice Sway-Away coilovers.

this is a customers vehicle, he rock crawls mainly with a bit of trail riding mixed in, he plans on being at EJS this year, and I hope we can get him out in the snow soon.

Everything is custom,hand made including the arms,8" RE springs,RE shocks and joints, the jeep has air lockers front and rear with 4:56 gears and disc brakes in the rear, all the tubing is for chassis support and roll over protection, so hopefully the jeep will live a long time with hard core use.

We talked about that, but he changed his mind for financial reasons right now

That is some pretty impressive work. I like the rear bumper, up nice and tight!

Robrkr- the tubing in the engine department, did you connect thru the fire wall to the front legs of the interior cage?

If so, that is exactly what I was thinking needs to be done if your gonna cage up an XJ;

The way I always thought in my head is, you brace the hell out of the rear 2/3rds of an XJ and that leaves everything, including the firewall, forward weak. Especially at the firewall. The unit body, it would seem, would be forced to flex way more in this area with the cage than before the cage. the XJ unit body seems to be prone to cracking around the windshield already. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Makes sense to the Jeepspeed folks.

Wow man, that thing is mean. You have some talent. I'm with everyone else, i love that front fab work the most i think, tying everything together. One question, any reason you didnt triangulate the top of the interior cage more? I'm not trying to bash you or anything, i could never do anything remotely as nice as that, just curious because i have always been under the impression that everything should be triangulated for maximum strength. Tell your customer i'm more than willing to trade, i have camo seat covers.
