Has anyone been on a set of trails past Mono Wind Casino just outside of Auberry about 10 miles. I had a grid from gps but mistakenly erased it when I got home? It looks like it was a series of PGE roads and then there was a trail that my brother and I went up and it took me out right below Shaver Lake. There were signs at the beginning and the whole trail is closed Dec 1 - April 20. There were a few decent rock gardens and some nice slimy holes to play in. The actual trail takes about 2 hours to drive. Just wondering? I am in for the run on Jan 16. Look forward to meeting some of you guys.

Yeup that is called "Jose Basin" its fun time in the mud! Its realyl scenic, not much in the way of extreme, but fun none the less!

Is that the name of the area or the trail that takes you up to shaver?

thats the name of the area. I dont think there is a name to the road. its numbered, i dont member off the top of my head. I could look at some of my maps to find out, if you really really want to know.

no thats cool just wondering. my little brother wanted to name it, he really liked it. thanks

I used to take my work Suburban out there for some native plant sampling I was doing. Cool little spot, especially for a 3/4 ton IFS Sub!

I never knew what it was called.

What kinda slop did you haul that bus through Andy? I'm hesitant to even take mine into the back yard unless the ground is hard. Then again, I'm running 235/85R16 pizza cutters on it, which don't help at all.
