All the new 3 link XJ items will be listed under Pro Series on our website.

We are also going to offer a true 4 link setup. Basically what you see above, just with another full length arm on the passenger side.

Our thoughts on radius arm, vs. 3 link vs. 4 link. is that they can all work if they are properly designed, however different applications can be used depending on what you plan on doing with your XJ.

Radius arm. This is a tried and proven system, that flexes amazing, offers great ride quality, and is fairly easy to install because you are attaching to all the OEM axle mounts.

3 Link front. We find no flex improvement, and no ride quality improvement. This kit does use larger 2.5 forged johnny joints for the uppers which will withstand more abuse. This kit is recommend for the more aggressive driver, mainly competition setups. In competitions guys are running sticky tires, on concrete courses, using front only to drag the rear. This put a great deal of load on the front joints, and yes the 3 link will hold up to this type of abuse better then the radius arm, which uses 2 inch johnny joints.

4 link front. While designing the 3 link, we look and saw that to add the same arm on the other side would be fairly easy at this point. We figure guys doing racing, jeep speed stuff, jumping, would appreciate the extra arm with the large 2.5 forged johnny joints. This kit will most likely need some custom exhaust work to clear that 4th arm.

Let us know what you think, and if you have any questions or comments. Either post them here, or feel free to email us at [email protected]

Will this be available as an add -on for those that have the radius arm setup?

Yes this was designed as a add on. However, because that upper 3 link bracket will take a good amount of load, and its very tricky to properly weld it on top of teh cross member, it is sold prewelded ONLY.

Meaning you will get a new outside bracket, with the 3 link already welded on top. We tried to just put the bracket on top and weld it, but there is just not enough room.

That is the bracket that will come with the kit. You will unbolt the current one you have, cut the welds on the old cross member, grind the frame clean, and reinstall the new (shown above) bracket. Once that is in place, install the rear brace to support that new 3 link bracket.

We went back and forth on that decision. But we just do NOT want to take any chances. You will only have 1 upper arm holding all the torque and braking forces of the front end. Even thought he kit was design to handle this, if you can't properly weld on that top bracket, it will lead to a big problem.

will the 4-link require exhaust modification? does the tracbar remain in the stock location or does the mount have to be relocated? and i assume your D30 "bridge" is welded to the axle much like a truss?

At this time the 4 link kit is just an idea. We have designed that brackets and will get them in our shop in a couple of days. We check for clearances, and see what we want to do going forward.

From what we can see, exhaust modification will most likely be necessary.

Yes, the front trackbar does need to be used with this kit. There is NOT enough triangulated to eliminate it. You also would not want to with a standard drag link style setup. With full hydro, it maybe possible.

The bridge welds to both sides of the tube. And our bridges key design is that it also picks up the OEM center mount for additional support.

The kits should be ready for sale in hopefully a week. Arms are at powder coating now.

are you sure that the stock crossmember mount plus the one support are strong enough to support the suspension as well as survive tough hits?

The stock cross member is NOT being used. It is designed to be used with our 3 piece cross member.

This is the full cross member. It will bolt into the unibody in the stock location, then be welded in.

please let us know what you find and how you resolve it.

the question was more geared towards the location of the axle side mount. does the stock location suffice?

Anymore updates on the 4link?

We have all the brackets, unibody pass side, and pass axle side to sell it. We have not installed one so its not technically on sale.

We have sold a few sets to customers doing custom builds and wanted it on the pass side vs the driver.

Basically it will fit, most likely with some exhaust mods.

If you are interrested, send me an email and we can discuss details.
