Changed battery cables, broke ecu ground...

Did my battery cables yesterday and in the process broke the ground on the block for the ecu. Crimped a new eyelet on and replaced, but it was a bit of a stretch to get it on the stud. Jeep starts very nicely and runs great, except there have been a couple times it completely shuts off for a second and then continues as if nothing happened. I'm thinking I need to splice in a new short length of wire and rr ground the ecu and obviously go through all the other ground points that were touched. Anything else this could be that I should be looking at? '98 BTW

I’d start with exactly what you’re suggesting and double check the cables you just put in.
Yeah, figure that's the best course (it's the most obvious) just didn't know if it might be something else. Now I just need the rain to stop.😎
