Safety Requirements and Equipment List

Safety requirements and equipment will be strongly enforced. Each vehicle will be inspected during registration. Anything found on a vehicle that does not pass the specified requirements will FAIL the team. Each team that fails the inspection has only ONE chance to correct the violation(s) and re-register. If the team fails twice, they will not be allowed to compete.

Each Driver/Spotter team must have:
Visibly charged fire extinguisher (BC or ABC) placed within reach of driver.

First aid kit.

Adequate spare tire, jack and lug wrench.

Safety belts for driver and spotter.

Adequate roll cage or factory hard top.

Adequate attachment points in the front and rear of the vehicle:
Acceptable forms of attachment points: (All Items must be mounted in a manner to provide adequate strength and integrity) .

Tow hooks of OEM or greater integrity.

D-Rings.

Shackle/Clevis.

20ft 10,000lb snatch strap. NO METAL HOOKS.

Secured battery (no bungee cords).

Helmets (DOT approved).
They are required to be worn by driver and spotted while competing in an event. Open faced helmets are preferred.

If windshield or glass is present, must be safety glass and securely installed.

No “unsecured” items (tools, spare parts, coolers, etc.) inside your vehicle. Everything must be secured at all times.

Everyone that attends the Rides of March must abide by and adhere to all the rules and regulations of TMTC , BMRA and NAXJA Red River Chapter.
