Where can you get new drum brake backing plates (Dana 35)?

Hello,

I have a mid 90's Dana 35 I want to rebuild for my '88 XJ and want these parts...for less than the $100.00 each the dealer wants for them. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Rick

I'd just get a whole used rear end and rob the parts you need. D-35's go for free around here.

Someone in your area is bound to have one sitting around after a axle swap they don't need.

Thank you for the idea, but my objective is to get new backing plates, not used ones. In my experience used backing plates often have grooves worn in them from where the shoe has arced across them over the years. The ones I have at present on two different axles have this. I could weld them up and refinish them, but getting new ones would be a lot less hassle.
