Re: Cascade/Saxon Adopt-a-Road report

These take for flippin' ever to upload since I do not scale them down. So I will post 5 at a time.

Wife was in charge of the camera and it was her first trip into the mountains since moving here. So I am posting about 15% of what she took. Let's call it the highlight real.

Heading to Idaho Springs from Golden.

Meeting up at the Ranger station. Airing down and disconnecting sway bars.

Re: Cascade/Saxon Adopt-a-Road report

On the trail, fantastic weather.

There was no shortage of ATVs, but these were the only two wheel toys we ran into.

Clearing some trail obstruction. This little bike chain saw made quick work of it.

Nothing like a little shade on a hot day.

I think Mike called this the poser ditch.

Mike doing his civic duty.

Last shot of the group before we headed down.

Re: Cascade/Saxon Adopt-a-Road report

I was pretty disappointed with the turn-out, but we had a great time all the same. I think we spent the better part of an hour at an illegal campsite picking up all of the trash the scuzzballs left behind.

Mike, PM your email address and I will send you a hi res of you and Liz at the overlook.

Re: Cascade/Saxon Adopt-a-Road report

Had a great time! Looking forward to the next one.

PM sent.

Also, http://www.countycomm.com/survivalchainsaw.html is the hand chainsaw I had with me. I bought it a couple months ago after watching a video of a guy cutting through a pallet in a few seconds and thought, "for $20, why not?" It made quick (<30 seconds) of a 4 inch log with relatively little effort. I'm keeping it in the Jeep toolbox from now on.

If I didn't work the night shift over 100 miles away I would have been there!

Here is an Amazon link to that nice little saw. Comes with a fire starter as well.
