What I learned at the fall fling

Well since I'm back to the land of corn tomorrow figured I'd kick this off.

Things I learned:
Slick rock is gravity defying
Goatman drives everything like the 4643
Handlebars won't spot you off a cliff
The caltards aren't so bad....except Geoff, he's still a jerk!
My rear suspension needs some work

I'm sure there is more. Just want to say thanks to all who put this event on and I can't wait to get back out here!

Ls1-XJ is my dream jeep
Battery powered sawzalls are a trail tool
XJ bumpers don't fit ZJ's
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't manage two trails in one day( I love Moab )
Dogs aren't scared of heights
EVERYONE has Mt-R Kevlars
Beadlocks are yesterday's "Bling" (now standard)
I'll never stay at Slickrock CG again
Next time, just run Pritchett

I learned that your wife is a better driver than you are. ;)

That looking at a wedding party in the middle of nowhere, you'll miss your turn off and get your whole group lost.
That looking at the distant landscape horizon and not your trail markers will get your whole group lost.
My 8 year old son is not afraid of a 1,000' cliff.
My 8 year old son gave me more grey hair in 4 days than in 5 years.
Nice to be looking out a hotel room while the sky is dumping 3" of rain in 1 hour.
Control arms will rip loose if you drive fast into a washed out road.
Moab 4X4 guys are cool and got my rig welded back up and out the door.
And last, Everyone that my family and I ran into in the Naxja event are the nicest and helpful people we have ever met. Great job to all that gave up a lot of their personal time to get this off and running it was perfect ! see you for the 35th

Also learned:

Kansas state police don't care if you have "2" loaded weapons in the jeep
Pasta Jay's is worth every penny
Geoff has a voice for radio and a face not even a mother could love
Blondejoncherokee is a lot less blonde than previously thought

Were you upset when the carpet didn't match the drapes?

I learned that J9 will keep your shades safe.

I also learned that I'm a loser, baby.

Things I learned.

Trailers made out of XJ's do pretty well on 85 miles of dirt

Trailers made of XJ's would do even better if the owners would tighten their ubolts before the trip.

It is actually possible to sleep three adults and a child in a roof tent.

Broken exhaust hangers running on springs can drive a guy insane in a week of wheeling.

The MWC guys like sheep but they like good looking drunk lesbians even more.

Guys from Tennessee are some of the nicest people on the planet.

It's still fun to take a Moab noob for a ride and listen to the awe in his voice.

Rich ladies from Texas in expensive motorhomes can be bitches and have no tolerance for laughter.

Things I learned.

My jeep needs a front locker and tires with tread on them.

You can hit 50 mph in 4-lo but your tcase yells at you for it.

Cops stopping by your campsite looking for espresso get offended when you offer them donuts.

Dr. Moab doesn't carry a breifcase, "It's an attache."

Wheeling in the rain is a lot of fun.

Things I learned?

1) Sandstone is exceptionally grippy, even in the rain.

2) Moab Rim is worthy of a level 10 pucker rating.

3) When in doubt, use a spotter...

4) A Grand Cherokee with an open front and ltd slip rear will make you question your build.
