Moab travel costs

$522 in fuel. $335 for half a motel room for six nights. $300 for food and souvenirs. $1157 total.
 
I had a real cheap trip from WI other than fuel! I added the fuel receipts up and came up to somewhere around $1500!!! '03 Dodge 2500 Hemi with cab over camper towing a MJ trailer with 500lb motorcycle. I spent much of my time with my foot to the floor! Colorado is up hill in every direction and wind is NOT your friend. Yeah, it was still worth it though. :)

Rabbit Ears Pass 9,426ft
Freemont pass 11,318ft
Independence pass 12,095ft
Attempted Pearl Pass on motorcycle-failed due to snow
Schofield pass 10,707ft (on motorcycle!)
Mclure Pass 8,755ft
Unaweep Divide 7,048ft
Hwy 90/46 over the La Sals into and out of Moab
Lizard Head Pass 10,222 ft
Cumbres Pass 10,022ft (on a bus and steam train!)
Bobcat Pass, NM 9,820ft
and many other climbs and descents along my twisted route!

$75 ballistic fab spring perches
$100 trailer tire in Dallas

$600 in gas to get to CO
$55 for a tps for the Burb
$1068 on Uhauls
$443 in gas for said uhaul
$90 for a 2 5/16 ball for Uhaul and drill bit to make said ball fit
$300 atm withdrawal food and raffel stuff I guess
$100 for a RZR rental
$180 for a hotel for 3 nites in Denver
$180 airfare home
$20 cab ride to bus station
$20 bus ride home
$2000 to ship my jeep and trailer home

grand total $5,056


And I would do it all over again if I could.

I was hoping you would post here - I think we were all wondering how the bill came out on that fiasco :repair: That's a shizload of money, but somehow I thought it would be even more.
 
Tara works at the bank we use so she is very tuned in to our account...When she was going over the receipts and matching them to our debit card report I asked" Did we spend to much?" Her reply was "not at all"

She's a keeper!

My bride of 33 years works at our bank also. Her computer monitor must have a pop up every time my debit card comes out of the wallet.

yea there is still abunch of unaccountable cash that was spent, thats not all factored in. plus I for got camping fees and food. and beer and cider. but all that shouldent be more than another 500 bucks.

and the 2K is for the jeep, trailer and suburban to be shipped from denver to NY.
