1 1/4 reciever for recovery

I have an 1 1/4 reciever on the rear of my jeep used for pulling just my jetski and seadoo boat, etc but I would like to add some sort of recovery point just for pulling cars out of ditches, ripping small things out of the ground, etc by adding a 1 1/4 square tubing with either a d ring or hook mounted to it, the hitch is for 3500 lbs so I think it should be fine but is there anything I should watch out for, what type of metal do I want to ask for at the machine shop. obviusly the beefiest 1 1/4 square I can find?

Get solid bar and have a hole drilled in it for the d-ring

I wouldn't trust it.

Sure there's some margine for error in the design, but a stuck vehicle can easily put more load than 3,500 lbs on a tow point.
