Have you heard the legend of the Trashed Metal?

Once there was a red beast that crawled the foothills of the Pacific Northwest. A capable beast that knew the proper use of finesse rather than skinny pedal excursions. The area roamed was extensive and the beast returned from all off-road areas on the pavement under it's own power. There was the occasional tug and pull from a fellow off-road creature but never a let down due to lack of ability.

Created in 1992 and labeled as a Cherokee Laredo 4.0 litre High Output this beast sports an automatic transmission, and a couple of modified differentials. The front is a Dana 30 with an Eaton e-locker and Klondike axles ( there was a pesky lever decoupler but that has been eliminated). The rear is a Ford 8.8" from a 1998 Explorer, it's a limited slip unit but these days it's mostly slip. You can remedy this with a bit of work, a new Ford Motorsports clutch parts pack is included .
Traction is provided by a new set (50 miles on them) of TreadWright Guard Dogs (https://treadwright.com/collections/mt-tires ) 285/75R16. Clearance is provided by six inches of lift which was achieved with Rubicon Express front springs and a bastard repack in the rear. Bilstein 5100 shocks soften the ride.... mostly.... You will need to weld the front left lower shock mount back on. There is a great tale behind that bit of the legend.
The body of this beast has been modified by removing the rockers and replacing them with 3" x 6" steel square tube. This provides excellent rocker protection and vehicle pivoting with no worries about damage.
Up front there is an AJ's Bumper. It's their original prototype. A frame stiffening plate was added as the prototype didn't come with that extra bit of plating. Upon it sits a winch. It's not a particularly special winch, it does work though and has been used.... More than I might like to admit...
The hi-lift is mounted on the hood and will be coming along for further adventures.

In the back seat there is a gas tank shield. It never made it to the point where it was actually installed, You may wish to spend the time adding it.

Make no mistake the beast has body damage but it wears it's scars proudly

I would like $3500 to release this beast into your care. Please contact me by responding via: traceyfitch@hotmail. com Thank you for taking a look!

BTW, if you have never heard the legend before don't worry. I only ever told it to my daughter up until now. Now the beast may soon roam the wild again, creating new legends.
