superior 8.25 shafts vs. alloy usa 8.25 shafts. 29 splines of course

opinions? which one is stronger?

AlloyUSA front and rear (29 spline), no problems on 35's and 4.56's. Price would be my selling point, as you can't go wrong with either imo. -b

Also look into whether either one is pre-drilled for both 5x4.5" and 5x5.5" - I dont know if either one is.

AlloyUSA front and rear for me as well. I think the 8.25 is pretty stout and I don't think the shaft itself is really the weak link with alloys...but that makes me wonder what is...

the thing that gets me is that superior says on their website their shafts are heat treated like their evolution series, where as alloys site says they re just a chromoly upgrade.

I run alloy usa axles in the rear on a 27 spline 8.25 with 33's locked. But in the front im running superiors now.. Never broken either of their shafts and i wheel two or three times a week pretty hard... I know most axles are on back order right now.. Only ones i could get for my d30 last month were the superiors and im still waiting for the pass shaft.. Alloy usa d30 shafts were 40-60 days out..
