I actually have two '87 Dana 44 rear axles from stock XJ's. One is an open for $250 (good choice for lunchbox locker upgrade) and the other is a factory posi unit which would be the cheapest bolt-and-run option that's better than open for $300. I'm going to keep whichever one doesn't sale for my XJ and put a Tru-trac in it so either one works for me. The axle comes complete with drum brakes but surface rust means they'll need resurfacing. For this price you could also get extra stock D44 axles pretty cheap... PM me for pic's of the rear end you're interested in.
