WTB: new or used Cruise Control

I'm sick of driving like to Barnwell w/o cruise. I'm old and lazy so I want CRUISE :bawl:

What are my options for my 87 2.5L auto?

Make a hand throttle. It is used more on the standars but you can make it for the auto. Also a lot cheaper.

That is an idea but I'd probably kill myself on the highway and that is why I want cruise... long drives.

Well I use it when I drive but yes you have to remember just hitting the break will not turn it off.

I have most of the factory components. You can have them for $50 plus shipping if you like. They include the Yellow AMC box under the dash and the control with cable that is under the hood. I never use my cruise so they are just extra stuff my XJ has to haul around. PM me if you are interested. This is from a 90 4.0L which I think are unchanged for the 4 bangers. I will not give up the steering column stuff though.

I will take you up on it if I can get the other controls needed for the steering and such.
