I've got a 2000 with the 8.25 rear. the fill plug in the diff cover is leaking like crazy! Is there a good replacement or somekind of fix for this? Thanks in advance
Chad

If you're talking about the rubber plug, get a new one. They get hard after a couple years and should be replaced each time the fluid is done. Cheap...maybe $3 ;)

I would check to see if the vent tube that is on the top of the drivers side axle tube is clear for air to pass through. Pressure might be building up inside the diff housing and forcing the lube out. As for getting the rubber plug to seal.... try cleaning the metal sealing surface and the apply a thin film of silicon and insert the plug. Worked for me !!!
